        CALENDAR DATES FOR LINDEN GARDEN CLUB MEETINGS

   MEETING INFORMATION

 

Our meeting dates are listed on this page. You will also receive an email reminder each month.   Reservations to attend the meetings and/or lunch can be made by email (preferred) to:

reservations@lindengardenclub.com or by phone at 420-2032 by Monday,13th of March to make your luncheon reservation. This date enables Diane to get an accurate count for the Chef. Please note that you must notify Diane in your email if you will attend the meeting, but are not staying for lunch. ALSO, please note that you should receive an email or phone call confirming that we received your RSVP within a few days of your email. If you do not receive a confirmation, please get in touch with Diane promptly!

In the event that you make a luncheon reservation and find that you are unable to attend, you must cancel 48 hours in advance to avoid being charged for the lunch. Husbands and guests are always welcome to attend the meetings. If you are bringing a guest, please tell Diane when making your reservations.

                                        Ben Williams of Kalawi Farms

PROGRAM: Our October speaker is Ben Williams of Kalawi Farm in Candor. Ben’s maternal grandfather and great grandfather were peach farmers. His Mother, Jan, married Art Williams who farmed land in Eagle Springs given him by his father. Jan Williams taught elementary school for 10 years, but after their third child was born, she decided to return to her roots so she turned some of the land into a peach farm. The Williams' youngest son Ben is a graduate of Appalachian University. He is a graduate of Pinecrest High School where he was the quarterback of the Patriots football team. 

Ben’s Ice Cream Stand, named for our speaker is a popular stopping point for the people living along Rt 211 as well as people as far away as Raleigh.

COST: $15.00 PAYABLE AT THE MEETING

WHAT TO BRING: GLOVES, CUTTING TOOL

       Seared Oregano Crusted Salmon
                Cilantro whipped potatoes,seasonal vegetables,ancho and Meyer lemon burre blanc

       Brie and Raspberry Chicken
                  Chicken breast served with Brie cream sauce and cranberry compote,
Creamy potato puree and shallot and balsamic haricots verts

       Mushroom Stuffed Ravioli
                    Warm frisée and fennel salad,haricot very and roasted peppers,
smoked tomato and shallot fondue

And dessert will be a New York Cheesecake with Berry Sauce and Creme Anglaise

Price is $24.20 per person for each choice, which includes gratuity and NC sales tax.

During dessert, there will be a creative raffle for the Door Prize Baskets!


If you plan on attending, please get your check to Nona, marking on the check your luncheon selection. You can give to Nona at November meeting or drop off in her basket on front porch. (15 Edinburgh Lane)
